Geese start their migration in the South in March and April, and by mid May they will have spread over the lower part of Buenos Aires Province.  As in duck hunting, it is important for an outfitter to be mobile.  We have contracted with many ranches in the prime wintering grounds of the geese.  This allows us to place the hunter in the ranch that has the most concentration of geese.

The hunt starts before dawn in harvested sunflower seed fields, where blinds are prepared and the decoys are layed out before your arrival.  Shooting lasts till around 11 a.m., with a return to the ranch for a gourmet lunch with Argentinean wine, beer or beverages of your choice.  After a siesta (nap) you will be able to hunt doves or perdice (partridge) in the afternoon.

The two species are Magellan and Ashey-Head geese.  A party of four can expect to shoot 80 to 100 geese each morning.
