Rancho Salvaje has been outfitting hunting trips to Argentina for more than 28 years. Daniel Zanuso, the owner and operator, was born and raised in Argentina and has hunted his whole life. Armed with this knowledge and expertise, Daniel knows how to easily satisfy the hunter with a truly personalized experience.

Rancho Salvaje operates differently than other hunting outfitters. Daniel leases around 20 ranches throughout the country, making it possible for the hunters to take advantage of the concentration of game on each site. Since ducks and geese are migratory it is important to be very mobile.

Argentina has a stable political environment, and a very favorable exchange rate. The US Dollar goes a lot further here. The Argentine people are happy to see Americans, unlike other countries in South America. The USA has a good relationship with Argentina and it shows in how nice the people are to you there. Argentina is a first world economy that maintains western standards for food and water quality. All the water supplies are safe, and the food is stunningly good.

Because of its size and diversity of climates its land is able to support a wide range of crops. To the hunter this means a wide variety of birds and animals.

2008 was another great year. Everybody had a great time and we shot plenty of birds. The TV show that we filmed is in production now.

Each year we add new ranches to our selection to choose from according to the water conditions. The outfitter is out scouting each day for bird locations.

I have been to Argentina 82 times and have taken many hunters. You have to realize that Argentina is a very large country therefore the best hunting for each species is in different locations that is why we have many ranches in different parts of the country.

We added a new feature to our organization; we have a dove special for Off~Season Hunting. I consider April and September to be the two best months for this special. Other months might be a little too hot for most hunters. I took a group of 8 people this past April for 4 days; they shot 15,500 doves. Not all hunted the full 4 days because they didn't listen to me when I told them to put a hand towel on their shoulder for a cushion.

There are two major combo hunts that are popular.

Six day duck and goose combo in two locations usually from Mid June to Mid July.

Six day duck, dove and pigeon combo in two locations from Mid May to Mid July. This hunt is high volume.

If you are by yourself or with just a few other hunters I will be able to add you to another small group to try and make a six hunter party.
